January 15, 2014: Re Invest's Carlisle Tire & Wheel Project Featured in PADEP Brownfields Video




The 2013 Pennsylvania Brownfields Conference was a great success! We enjoyed the opportunity to meet with professionals in the industry and to introduce our latest projects and investments. RE Invest's Carlisle Tire and Wheel project was featured in a video produced by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. The video was featured prominently during the conference. September 27-28, 2011: RE Invest Attends PA Brownfields 2011 Conference


RE Invest attended the PA Brownfields 2011 Conference on September 27th at the Blair County Convention Center in Altoona, PA. The conference included an informative field trip where attendees experienced first-hand the impressive results of Altoona's downtown revitalization as well as a tour of a manufacturing reuse of a former rail car shop in Hollidaysburg. April 3-5, 2011: RE Invest Presents at Brownfields 2011


Brownfields 2011RE Invest Solutions LLC (RE Invest) presented "Getting The Project Off the Ground: Funding for Initial Brownfield Development" at the US Environmental Protection Agency's Brownfields 2011 conference held in Philadelphia, PA from April 3-5, 2011. Brad Maurer, Esq. of Sovereign served as the session moderator, with Tom Lobasso, PG, Managing Director of RE Invest functioning as the key speaker. The session's panelists were George Vallone, President of the Hoboken Brownstone Company, Marc Guerin, Esq., Director of Real Estate Risk Services for RBS Citizens Bank, and Susan Bank, Esq., Chief Environmental Risk Policy Officer for Sovereign / Santander Bank. The discussion focused on creative ways to fund the initial stages of projects to position brownfield properties for further private investment and conventional bank funding.

The presentation highlighted how the current lending market requires a higher percentage of private equity in the early stages of a brownfield redevelopment, using a case study of a proposed healthcare campus with residential components to illustrate seller, third-party equity, lender, developer, and buyer perspectives, particularly on how to manage environmental risks if remediation is not yet complete. The 2010 City of Springfield Developers Conference focuses on exciting development and real estate opportunities and will feature presentations and panel discussions about innovations in renewable energy, green building, information technology, finance, and transportation industries. October 19, 2010: RE Invest Highlighted in Environmental Business Journal (EBJ) Article on Sovereign Consulting Inc.


Environmental Business JournalRE Invest was highlighted in the Environmental Business Journal — Volume XXIII (Read Article) in an article featuring Sovereign Consulting Inc, RE Invest's strategic partner. The article reads "Many developers own or seek properties for which they can't get traditional financing because of seen and unforeseen environmental impacts that impair the site," Marc Cicalese explains of Sovereign Consulting Inc. Under the model adopted by RE Invest and Sovereign, RE Invest provides the financing for the environmental cleanup to encourage and facilitate the remediation and redevelopment of industrial properties, while Sovereign will perform the environmental remediation. The investment of capital and technical resources are offered to developers in exchange for an equity position in the redevelopment project".

The EBJ is distributed across the industry nationwide and provides a snap shot of environmental market performances, competitive strategies, new business opportunities, and market trends.


July 20, 2010: RE Invest Announces Redevelopment of New Brunswick, NJ site


RE Invest Solutions LLC (RE Invest) formed a partnership with Gordon New Brunswick MAB Urban Renewal, LLC (Gordon MAB) to redevelop an inactive hazardous waste site in New Brunswick, New Jersey. The 4.5 acre property was a former aluminum foundry once owned and operated by the Wright Brothers in the early 1900s to manufacture aircraft engines and later used for chemical warehousing from the early 1960s to the late 1990s. The RE Invest/Gordon MAB team plans to redevelop the property for construction of a 4-story medical arts building.

"The RE Invest / Gordon MAB partnership will help to revitalize a blighted and economically distressed area of New Brunswick while meeting the growing needs of the City's vibrant medical and academic community." stated Thomas Lobasso, Managing Director of RE Invest Solutions.


June 17, 2010: RE Invest Attends NJ Sustainable Communities Conference at NJIT


RE Invest attended the Second Annual Northeast Sustainable Communities Workshop held at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark, NJ. The conference sought to identify ways to create sustainable communities through Brownfields redevelopment at underutilized sites in urban areas. Representatives from real estate finance, government, corporations, community representatives, non-governmental organizations, and consultants provided many perspectives on how best to reinvest in sustainability through Brownfields redevelopment.


May 26, 2010: RE Invest Attends RECON — The Global Retail Real Estate Convention in Las Vegas, NV


Tom Lobasso, PG and Brad Maurer, JD of RE Invest Solutions LLC attended RECON — The Global Retail Real Estate Convention, hosted by the International Council of Shopping Centers on May 23-25th, 2010 in Las Vegas, NV at the Las Vegas Convention Center. RECON was an opportunity for RE Invest to network with shopping center owners and gain a stronger understanding of the current retail and commercial real estate market as well as new opportunities for cost reduction and funding.


April 22, 2010: RE Invest Presents at Business of Brownfields Conference in Pittsburgh, PA


RE Invest Solutions LLC exhibited at the Business of Brownfields Conference hosted by the Engineers Society of Western Pennsylvania (ESWP) on April 20th and 21st, 2010. Tom Lobasso, PG and Brad Maurer, JD discussed opportunities in the brownfields market with several attendees. RE Invest shared exhibit space with Sovereign Consulting Inc., allowing the companies to introduce their strategic partnership to potential clients in the western Pennsylvania market.


March 19, 2010: RE Invest Announces Partnership with Sovereign Consulting Inc.


RE Invest Solutions LLC (RE Invest), a Brownfield investment company announced a partnership with Sovereign Consulting Inc., an award winning environmental remediation firm headquartered in Robbinsville, NJ. Sovereign and RE Invest together offer real estate developers, corporations and municipalities creative solutions to finance, remediate and redevelop distressed and underutilized industrial properties.

RE Invest, in partnership with real estate developers, finances environmental remediation projects in exchange for an equity position in the redevelopment project. RE Invest invests in "Brownfield" properties throughout the United States helping corporations and municipalities monetize their surplus fixed assets and transfer environmental liability. Sovereign provides the technical resources and manpower needed to execute the site remediation to regulatory closure.
